Happy Resurrection Day,

Today is the day our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the grave and defeated death. We used to celebrate Easter with bunny’s and baskets easter egg hunts and it was one of the 3 times i would make it to church, I used to laugh when I went into the stores and saw all of the stuff on sale for easter and would say its looks like the second coming of Christmas. It was a time to go and have a sit down meal with my family and play Easter Bunny, but after being saved and coming to Christ when I look at Easter I think of hope, joy, grace, forgiveness and Love. To realize that Jesus did not only die for the world ( john 3:16) but He died for me….me he saw me looking up at him and died for me and my sin’s. People always call me religious when I talk about Jesus, God and the Bible and then look at me funny when I tell then I used to be but not anymore. I grew up religious and was turned away from it by all the religion and “works” required by me. It was not until i found Jesus and found out that he did not want a religion for me to follow but rather he wanted a personal relationship with me, can you believe that a personal relationship. It sounds so hard i said how can I ? Well i soon learned thats the easy part all I needed to do is ask….yep just ask as it says in the bible the only way to the Father is through Me…..and through Accepting  Jesus as my Lord and Savior ,knowing that Heaven was a gift and there is nothing that I could do on my own to get there I was forgiven and became born again.Jesus died for us all and all of our sins ALL not some but ALL Sin and all He asked in return was to Follow Me.

On this day I am truly thankful to the Lord our God for sending his one and only Son to die for my sins and I am proud to be a follower of Christ!!!
