What is a father? To answer that I think you must first come to know your father the creator and what he has done for you to fully grasp at what a father is. On that note it was after I have come to learn more about God and what he has done for me and my family that I have come to an understanding about my own dad. Years ago I would have td you that I loved my father but could not deal with him, and his attitude towards his family. Now I have come to a better understanding of who he is and where he came from. I am not giving him excuses for the way he has acted in the past rather forgiveness and a better understanding of why? Did he always love us? Well to answer that question yes he did most definitely love us I have now looked through the eyes of a different light and stepped back to take a look at how he may have seen love. My father growing up was not around much for us it seemed but looking back I clearly see it was because he was working to provide for his family. Is that love? Yes it is. Did he do everything right no not at all but through it all I know he loved me and taught me a lot about being a man and a father it may have been ” a learn from my mistakes lesson but a lesson non the less”. I see him know and see a man who regrets a lot of things he has done in his past, but I also see a man who has done much and risked it all to provide for his family and reach for a dream. I see a man who stayed married for 40 years and stuck by wife through thick and thin, I see a man who started a business and brought it up to a very large business and bought a bigger building and built an addition supplied a fleet of trucks for. I see a man who ran his own business for almost 25 years and while it did not last, he poured his heart into it. So while some see failure I see giving it your all. I love my father for the man he was and for the man he has become. I do not believe he is where the lord wants him but I know he is on the right path. So to my Father I love you and pray for your continuing growth in the lord. I know that you may not have loved us the way we wanted but I also know you loved us the best way you knew how to.
I also want to say happy fathers day to my other dads Richard who is my father in law he has shown me great things in his trade and has been a blessing go Jamie and I we love you and may God continue to grow you and lead you in your path in life. Thank you for all you do to help our house hold and thank you for your loving daughter God bless.
Also Eric my step dad in-law who entered into my life the same time I was married. He is a great addition to the family I thank him for all he has brought to the family and for being a great grandpa to the kids weave you and may God bless you.
