Happy fathers day to all the dads out there. I would like to take this time to say a few words about my dads( yes dads well get to that in a bit). My father grew up on his own.I remember when he would tell us stories about his “hard knock life” I would look for the nearest milk crate for him to stand on, but seriously he did grow up on his own. He was out of the house at the age of 13. I am not looking to give him excuses for the way he was I just wanted to throw some back story in, because I think as fathers we all try to provide a better life for our children then we had. On that note my father was not always that dad that’s always there for you, the dad that’s going to all the sports,plays, school events, ect..
He did not show us love as we have come to know it, supporting love the always there cheering you on kind of love that some children just crave and disire. He was not there most of the time because he was always working, working to provide for us. Working so he could send his children to private school, so my parents could spoil us with toys and stuff growing up. He loved us ( and still does) very much. He provided for us the things that he did not have and he loved us the best way he knew how. It was not always peaches and cream, but what family is. My fahther and I never had that great father and son bond that comes naturally with some growing up, but we have it now we are closer now then we have ever been and for that I thank God. My dad gave me many things in this life a great work ethic, good manners, the knowledge that I was not raised in a barn, but most of all he gave me a blue print on fatherhood that I could use and build on for when I became a dad. Thank you dad for all you have done and continue to do in this world I thank God for you and pray for you always.

My father in laws, yes I have two. Richard my wife’s dad has always been supportive of us and loves us. We had the blessing of him moving in with us about two years ago now. He has always been there for us helping out with what ever needs to be done around the house. We are very blessed to have in our lives on a daily basis. My step father in law. Eric entered into my life when I married my wife at first he was a quite person whom kept to himself. Now he is well intwined into our family, as a step dad and as grandpa. He has opened up to our family and has shown great love and commitment to my family. He adores his grandchildren and is always there for us in a time of need. Thank you Eric for entering this cam ily with no questions asked and opening up to us.
