The greatest gift
“The greatest gift is not an IPad or IPhone or a Cardies Furniture large chair. It was wrapped but it was not under a Christmas tree, but was in a stable long long ago.”

Is was a note my elder daughter wrote and taped to our front door. She would not let anyone read it until it was finished and taped on the door. The furniture reference was from the new Cardies commercial about what’s your perfect Christmas gift. There are so many time my children make me feel so proud to be there dad and this is one of them I am just so filled with joy to know that my little girl not only shares a birthday with Jesus but most importantly has a heart for Jesus. In a time of struggling financial issues, and in a world infested with darkness, it thoughts and hearts like this that help shed the Light.

For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6 NLT)

During this Christmas time we need the greatest gift of all Jesus….
Father God,
I pray for all of my friends and family this Christmas and every day that they may come to You those that don’t know You, to know you, to know the love that awaits them in Your arms. To know that You sent your Son Jesus do die for all not just the good but for us all because we have all fallen short of the glory of God. Thank you Jesus for covering our sins with your blood, thank you for being my Lord and Savior. May you continue to bless us and call us all to do Your will. In a world full of darkness that we as believers know that we always have a lamp at our feet guiding us to the Light.
