Well today we made it to Florida 🙌🏼2100 miles in the books.

Started out sunshine and amazin. On the way there i saw this amazing entrance to a home in Algiers Point ….can you guess who?

We arrived in New Orleans crossing the mighty Mississippi for the last time

On Today’s highlight real….. we have a beignet off between Cafe Beignet and Cafe Du Monde. (Thank you fat fighters lol…)with my little date we sat down to order our first batch…

Can’t rely on memory anymore at my age so had to stop by both and get fresh ones today lol….

So seated down from Jackson Sq we tried each delicious beignet. While they where both great, the cafe beignet unanimously came up the winner. They where a little flakier and less doughy. The cafe Du Monde has the little under cooked doughy taste to it. Don’t get me wrong would not turn them down lol but thought then other ones where better. Will have to ask Juju on that sweet to do a live comparison lol….

So after the tasting was complete now we had to walk it off lol. Headed over to the center sq to hop the trolly.🚃.

Then headed to check out the Garden district and Lafayette Cemetery ( filmed in shoes like Ncis New Orleans )

All in all enjoyed New Orleans maybe it was the Garden district or. The sunshine but loved it today more then the French district. It is a little sad to see so much poverty here like some just never got over the flooding. But in some you can see the life shine through in there spirit of New Orleans ….

check it off in the bucket list and glad we made it. Fla here we come …..
