What’s your Reason for the season?

Merry Christmas,

And to all a good night …..

Now well into the Christmas season… work parties, family parties, church parties and shopping galore. For some of us this is our whirlwind we call life. For me I work in the shipping business lol so you can only imagine the craziness this season creates for me and my family. As many who work at ups despise this time of year, I love this time of year😍. Remembering the reason for the season. Jesus Christ and His birth and what it means for me. The birth of my eldest on Christmas Day just love this season…

This usually keeps a smile on my face at work, usually this year for some reason seems to struggle a bit. If I sit down and ask myself why?

If I am honest I can see it’s because I have lost focus on the reason for the season… when we loose focus on Christ not only this time of year but any time of year, it’s like putting a match under a basket when you loose your light the darkness can instantly fill in your life. That’s when it goes sideways….

We need to keep the the Light in our lives. Being a Christian or follower of Christ was never promised

to be a struggle free life, rather a promise of never being alone. No matter what we go through we have been promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. So we need to keep Jesus in our hearts and thoughts. Remembering to make time for Him daily. In a world that’s is in constant conflict for our attention pulling at us from a hundred different directions telling us how to live our lives we need to stay focused on the one and only truth in this world, the one thing that has been never changing the same yesterday, today and tomorrow our Father God and His word.

So especially this busy time of year please take a moment every day to remember why we celebrate this season.. pick up your bible or a devotion daily and get in the truth Gods word and recharge your soul.

Like tells us

“An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:9-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This is the true reason for the season, not how much do you love someone is a direct correlation of how much you spend on them. We all have Christmas wish lists of what we want and need .. how about we remember of why we celebrate and who it is about. There is nothing wrong about giving gifts, to me that’s the best part of Christmas don’t get me wrong I love getting gifts lol. But putting thought into giving a gift that I fee someone would love and seeing them open it. Warms my heart. This is a season for giving, just as God gave us his only Son Jesus Christ, our focus should be on others not ourselves. So as I take a moment everyday to get into the word of God, I pray that all of us remember the true reason for the season this Christmas year and every year. God bless and Happy Birthday Jesus….

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night …..
